Mosiah 9:16-17 it says that they did arm themselves "with all manner of weapons wich we could invent, and I and my people did go forth against the Lamanites to battle."
-we should use the tools the Lord has given us such as; Faith in Jesus Christ, The Holy Ghost, the Atonement, the Gospel knowledge, prayer, scriptures, a Prophet, local leaders...

Then in vs 17, it says, "Yea, in the strength of the Lord, did we go forth to battle against the Lamanites;"
Being more faithful and obedient to God's commandments made Nephi "favored of the Lord" which made his brothers mad. I think there are a lot of time in life today that it is hard to always be faithful and when we are others mock us and make fun of members for is. But We need to stand up and be strong like Nephi was to His faith, knowledge and understanding of the gospel.

It is important to look at how we are living our lives and find things that we can repent of and improve on each day. As we do this we are submitting our will to our Father in Heavens and becoming a more humble people.

Blessing- Heavenly Father has a plan for me, regardless of how frustrating it is that my life doesn't go the way I want it to I know that everything will work out because He is in charge and knows better then I. (I just need to remember this more often)
