King Benjamin talks to his people from the temple. The people pitch their tents that the doors will face the temple. I think it's interesting that they did that in the beginning and they didn't have to turn them. How often do we have our mind set on the temple and eternal things like we are supposed to?
I think this could also mean not only showing up but being mentally ready to listen to our church leaders and taking their counsel.
Mosiah 2:9 he asks the people to "hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view.
When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God. (Mosiah 2:17):
We need to do Heavenly Fathers work by serving those around us, doing what He would do and treat others as He would treat them if He were here.
He was a great righteous king that sought to serve His people and help them to become a better people. He also tells them that (Mosiah 2:19) they "ought to thank your heavenly King!" I think to go along with that we need to make a greater effort to recognize the things that our Father in Heaven does for us so that we can thank Him for them. He gives us so much and is continually blessing us. I often wonder what blessings I'm receiving that I don't even recognize and take for granted?
"if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet ye would be unprofitable servants." (vs 21)
"He hath commanded you; for which if ye do, he doth immediately bless you;" what does that mean?

Immediately- at once; instantly, without any intervening time or space.
Becuase of this I think It's important to pay closer attention to the things we are blessed with because often it's not the things that we wanted and we don't recognize them to be thankful for them.

Blessing- My Father In Heaven continues to bless me regardless of my sins and even if I don't recognize every blessing I'm given and complain a lot to Him.
