The priests "began to fast and pray to the Lord their God that he would open the mouth of Alma, that he might speak,... the eyes of the people might be opened to see and know of the goodness and glory of God." (Mosiah 27:22)
Why is it that we often look at the hard times and dwell on those longer then the amazing many many blessings we receive every day from our Heavenly Father?
Asking to recognize blessings and to "see and know" in order to have a testimony of the gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ is so important to do and to constantly be strengthening our testimony.
Testimonies are like muscles if we aren't "exercising" our faith and using the tools (scriptures, prayer, words of the modern day prophets...) we have been given today to be stronger tomorrow we will lose the strength we have.
How can we better change from a fallen state, "to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters;"
I feel like this takes more than just having a testimony it takes a knowing and understanding and continuous study to change. It also takes trust in the Lord to turn to Him and give up our sins and become his daughter.
"Yea, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess before him.
"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name;
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
"And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
(Philippians 2:9-11)
I like the next scriptures too. Philippines 2:12, "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence,..."

Blessing: I'm thankful the spirit whispers to me to go and do things that I otherwise wouldn't have done. I have a possible job interview because I followed that prompting.
