It's interesting that so many people look at The Fall of Adam and Eve as a bad thing. I use to think it was also but for a lot of years I have gained a better understanding as I've read and learned about it. Alma 12:31 is a great scripture, it says, "Wherefore, he gave commandments unto men, they having first transgressed the first commandments as to things which were temporal, and becoming as Gods knowing good from evil, placing themselves in a state to act, or being placed in a state to act according to their wills and pleasures, whether to do evil or to do good-"

It's interesting to me that it is pointed out in this scripture that they transgressed the first commandments given to them in this life. It makes me wonder what commandments I transgress and or don't put a high priority on in my life?

This scripture is followed by an amazing powerful one with a promise from God; "If ye will repent, and harden not your hearts, then will I have mercy upon you, through mine Only Begotten Son; 
Therefore whosoever repenteth, and hardeneth not his heart, he shall have claim on mercy through mine only begotten Son, unto a remission of his sins; and these shall enter into my rest." (Alma 12:33)
