Alma 9, why are we so quick to forget the many blessings and miracles we have and have seen in our lives? It seems so easy to get upset about what isn't happening right now when we want it to instead of noticing the things that are going great.
The people were able to have "all things made known unto them, according to their desires, and their faith, and prayers, of that which have been, and which is, and which is to come;"

  • Where are my desires? Are they righteous desires? What do I do in order to be obedient and to live worthy of them?
Another prophecy of the coming of Christ is given, "the Son of God shall come in his glory; and his glory shall be the glory of the Only Begotten of the Father full of grace, equity, and truth, full of patience, mercy, and long-suffering, quick to hear the cries of his people and to answer their prayers." (Alma 9:26)

This is a good list of Christlike attributes that I need to work on in my life to become more like my Savior in order to qualify to return to live with Him and my Father in Heaven again. It's interesting because I feel like in life we don't focus our minds, effort, and energy on the things that are truly important, often enough.

Blessing- I'm thankful for my dad and for the rain that we have gotten that helps get the soil prepared for harvest time for dad. I have the best dad in the world!!!
