Alma 15:18; it says that Alma "strengthened him (Amulek) in the Lord." What do we need to today to be strengthened in the Lord? I think it takes a lot more faith then what I have most of the time.

Alma 16:21, "the word of God being preached in its purity in all the land, and the Lord pouring out his blessings upon the people."
How much different would the world be today if the word of God could be taught in purity? If we were righteous enough to truly understand and decern the things that God wants to tell us. What would that take?
Am I doing and working on the things that our Prophet and Apostles are asking me to do? Do I read their words often?

"they had waxed stronger in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God." (Alma 17:2)

 I love this scripture. Its' a good reminder of what we should be doing.
1. we should be getting "stronger in the knowledge of the truth", trying to learn all we can about the Gospel and about our Savior so that we can better understand how to be ourselves.
2. be "sound understanding" sound- Entire; unbroken;
understanding- Comprehending; apprehending the ideas or sense of another, or of a writing; learning or being informed.
This is amazing to me, they were so in tune with the spirit and the gospel that they understood exactly what was being taught.
I want that blessing.

Blessing: I can ask for help and Heavenly Father will give me the help and confidence I need.
