- God will call us to do great things in His name if we are worthy and living our lives ready to receive the call. We must always be ready and willing to listen and heed his words.
- Children and brought into this world innocent and perfect, there is no need for baptism at this point.
M. Russell Ballard said,
"In other words, we're born good; we learn to sin as we grow older. And if you need evidence of the truth of that doctrine, please see your nearest infant. Look deeply into the child's eyes. Have you ever seen such sweetness and purity? It's like you can look through a baby's eyes right into heaven.
"Of course, that changes a little later in their lives when wide-eyed innocence turns into wild-eyed mischievousness. That's when children become accountable and capable of sin-when they know and understand the difference between right and wrong. Through the Prophet Joseph Smith the Lord revealed that the age of accountability is eight years old. (see DC 68:25)" (Our Search For Happiness, p. 87)
- I like this quote it really put it in perspective for me that we need to strive to be more like children, to follow their example instead of them following ours. They are so helpful, loving, caring for everyone around them and if we would be like that we could have a stronger relationship with our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ. I often wish I could remember what it was like to pray as a child with my mother near my side as I conversed with my Father in Heaven that I was with not long before.
"Perfect love casteth out all fear." (Moroni 8:16)
- This is an amazing phrase. I know that it is something we as God's children need to work on is having perfect love. God already has it for each of us and as we learn and grow we can have it for Him also and for our brothers and sisters. But we can't do it alone we need our Savior Jesus Christ to be there with us and to help us to learn what "perfect love" love is and how to love others with it.
-We should strive to have "that which was most dear and precious above all things, which is chastity and virtue" (Moroni 9:9) in our own lives and to try our best do our best and live as Christ would have us live. It's not easy and it won't b when we are doing what we are supposed to. It's harder to go up a hill then it is to come down. We must be strong and reach for the heavens for our strength to return.
Blessing- job, money (to pay bills and for things I need), Christ leads me in all things.
