Nephi talks about his responsibilities of writing his own record/ testimony.
We need to live in a way that we are strengthening our testimonies and feel the needed desire to bear them to those around us. When we bear and live our own testimonies it is strengthened because we are living witnesses of the things we desire to or believe.
Nephi was a great example of living what his father said and knowing what was right and wrong. Being perfectly obedient and righteous enough to have angels come to him is amazing. The way he starts this book is amazing he is already setting the mood of the story and allowing us to get to know him and who he is and his role in his family.
