- Christ was sent solely to atone for our sins and to and to "draw all men unto" himself. How can we allow His sacrifice to not be in vain and to allow ourselves to change and become more like our Savior by following His example? What should we be working on because we want to be like him?
(3 Nephi 37:19) "No unclean thing can enter into his kingdom; therefore nothing entereth into his rest save it be those who have washed their garments in my blood, because of their faith, and the repentance of all their sins, and their faithfulness unto the end."
-There is a lot in this scripture that we are asked to do. First of all, we are given the sacrament in order to clean ourselves, renew our covenants and become united again with Christ and with the plan. No unclean can live with God again so we can't just be okay with our sins or our way of life we must repent and become a changed person. We are asked to wash our garments with blood; this is interesting because blood can be hard to get out of clothing let alone washing our garments with blood, but I also think of stains and the longer you leave them in a garment the harder it is to wash them out. So we need to make sure we are keeping track of our actions and repenting of them and changing as soon as we can to become more like the Savior. Another part of this I love is faith, I am always trying to have stronger faith and to trust God and His timing and His will. Repenting of our sins, showing the Savior that we accept His sacrifice and that we are willing to do whatever it takes to become like Him and to change ourselves so that His sacrifice isn't in vain. And being faithful unto the end is probably sometimes the hardest, especially when we are doing what we have been asked and those trials come and make endurance harder and make being faithful harder. But that is why we have the church, and guidance and direction to lead us back to Him.
Blessing- My Savior loves ME enough to sacrifice His love for me and stand by my side as I make mistakes and try to pick myself back up to try again.
