Christ is talking to the people in many cities about being destroyed and also said, "O all ye that are spared because ye were more righteous then they will not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?" (3 Nephi 9:10)

Christ has promised us may times in the scriptures that if we would follow His example, live His gospel the way He has asked us to we will be saved. In this scripture he is asking us to come unto Him, repent and be converted then he promises to heal us.

-The people heard the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ. What would that be like to be on earth and hear His voice? I think if we were doing as these people were I would be scared to death. They weren't doing what they should have been doing and needed to repent. But it would be comforting if I were there back then and I was part of the righteous group in the cities.

"I came unto my own, and my own received me not." (3 Nephi 9:16)
-How sad is that? Christ came to His people and they didn't receive Him or care that He was there. He is our Savior and Redeemer and so many people were influenced by Satan that they didn't even care to look unto Christ their one chance to be saved.
-Would you humble yourself and listen?

This is an interesting fact from my study guide;
It may seem odd for the Savior to use a Greek phrase among the Nephites. Certainly, the Nephites did not know the Greek alphabet, but the phrase was a title and one of the many names of Christ. The use of titles which are language specific is not limited to this case. The name, Immanuel, is a Hebrew name which means God with us (Isa 7:14). While many recognize Immanuel as a name or title for Christ, few know its meaning because they are unfamiliar with Hebrew. Furthermore, the phrase Alpha and Omega has been used numerous times in the latter-day scriptures even though most latter-day saints are not much more familiar with the Greek alphabet than were the Nephites. (see DC 19:1; 35:1; 38:1; 45:7; etc.)

"In order to have a healed and faithful heart, we must first allow it to break before the Lord." —Neill F. Marriott #LDS:
-Do I allow my heart to broken by and healed by my Savior?

Blessing- I am able to go back to school and get more education as well as receive education and strength from the things I read and not be influenced by the bad in the world.
