Jesus Christ came into the world under the most perfect circumstances. Born of a virgin that was so righteous, went about teaching God's children with his apostles, then he died "was lifted up upon the cross and slain for the sins of the world." (1 Nephi 11:33)
My garments can be made white in the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) if I have faith in Christ. (1 Nephi 12:11)
Why not follow the perfect example set out for us to in order to return to live with our Father in Heaven? That's like being offered something free and not taking it.
