In Lehi's dream of the tree of Life he talks about a strait and Narrow path. Like spoken of in 2 Nephi 31:18 "And then are ye in this straight and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye enter in by the way ye should receive."
That is a very powerful scripture. I have been thinking about being faithful and obedient a lot the last couple day and trying to figure out what I need to do to be more like my Savior. I feel like I'm not on the path my Father in Heaven wants me to be on as far as my spiritual path goes.
I think part of being faithful is continuously doing the things we know we should do and add upon that. We don't have to know everything at once but if we work on and improve every day the things that are important that have been asked of us it can help us be more like our Savior every day.
Lehi's vision can teach us a lot about who we are. By asking ourselves where would I be in the vision? What would my attitude be towards the situation? And would I allow outside influences from Satan interfere with choosing the right path back to my Father in Heaven? Or would I be faithful like Nephi in following the counsel of his father and the prophet?
Blessing: That I am doing well in my classes and I'm getting the help needed from Heavenly Father to guide my studies and help me remember what's important.
