2 Nephi 19:6, Our Savior Jesus Christ has many roles and responsibilities he is responsible for. He is our Savior, our Father of creation, our brother, exampler, and so much more...
I am so thankful for the example our Savior set for me so that I may have a life to live my own life after, well try to.

Wilford Woodruff said,

"Jesus Christ was crucified, the Apostles were put to death, and most every man who bore the Priesthood was slain, excepting John the Revelator... These men laid down their lives, and the judgments of God overtook the Jewish nation, in fulfillment of the predictions of the Savior and the Prophets. Moses told them in his day, 'And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee.' All this came to pass, and the kingdom was taken from the earth, the holy Priesthood was taken up to God, who gave it, and the Church went into the wilderness, and there remained until the day set for its restoration to the world." (Brian H. Stuy, ed., Collected Discourses, 5 vols. [Burbank, Calif., and Woodland Hills, Ut.: B.H.S. Publishing, 1987-1992], vol. 3, Oct. 9, 1892)

This is kind of scary, (2 Nephi 20:4) Brigham Young said,

"Our religion incorporates every act and word of man. No man should go to merchandising unless he does it in God; no man should go to farming or any other business unless he does it in the Lord. No man of council should sit to judge the people but what should judge in the Lord that he may righteously and impartially discern between right and wrong, truth and error, light and darkness, justice and injustice. Should any legislature sit without the Lord? If it [does], sooner or later it will fall to pieces. No nation ever did live that counseled and transacted its national affairs without the Lord, but what sooner or later went to pieces and came to naught. The same is true of all the nations that now live or ever will live." (Discourses of Brigham Young, ed. by John A. Widstoe, p. 9)

Thank heavens for quotes from leaders of the church to explain Isaiah because I feel like I'm not getting anything out of it otherwise.

Blessing: General Conference is this weekend.
