"...the sacred word of God, to which we owe all our happiness;" (Alma 44:5)
-In hard times it's hard to remember the things that make us truly happy like studying the word of God. If we would do this more when we are going through hard times we can have a more abundant spirit with us that can and will help us through the hard times.
Zerahemnah was willing to fight gainst the Nephites and yet they were not as prepared with armor and swords as Moroni's people were. To me, this is a great example of many people in this world and the way they live their lives. They think they are ready but they also don't realize that they didn't do the preparation beforehand that they should have so when they go to battle they either die or they must beg for their lives from their enemy.
"the people of Nephi were exceedingly rejoiced, because the Lord had again delivered them out of the hands of their enemies; therefore they gave thanks unto the Lord their God; yea, they did fast much and pray much, and they did worship God with exceedingly great joy." (Alma 45:1)
- How often do we do this? After a trial, do we truly thank God and pray and fast in His name to show thanks and great joy or do we go about our lives and forget about all the good the Lord has done for us un pulling us our of our trials and tribulations?
Blessing- My Savior is always here for me to help me get through the hard times and be with me through the good. :)
